Skin boosters are made up of tiny hyaluronic acid, the same as regular fillers but in much smaller particles. The difference being they are stabilised to give long lasting and hydrating results. When injected superficially into the skin, it increases levels of hyaluronic acid. The skinbooster combines with your own natural hyaluronic acid that is, sugar molecule found in our skin, and helps draw water to improve hydration, giving you more plump and youthful looking skin.
What is it used for?
Improves hydration and elasticity of the skin, smooths out fine lines and wrinkles, decreases skin surface roughness, improves the appearance of acne scarring, and to give a more youthful and fresh appearance of the skin.
Common areas treated includes; lip lines around the mouth, marionette lines down the mouth corners, back of the hands, crows feet, neck and decollatage, and anywhere we have craping skin.
What does it involve?
An initial treatment cycle of Skinboosters, it is recommended 3 treatments sessions, 4 weeks apart, with results more evident after the second session. A maintenance dose can be repeated every 6 months, depending on your skin situation and preferences, to ensure long-term skin nourishment.
Results generally lasts 12 months after a full cycle.
What are the common side effects?
Skinboosters are relatively safe, with swelling and bruising being the most common side effect. All medical procedures come with risk and these will be discussed with you at the time of consultation.
