Aging is an inevitable process that each of us have to face. As we age, our youthful appearance fades as our collagen and elastin production decreases year by year. Loose skin, fine lines, and wrinkles start to surface. While there are amazing topical treatments that can help slow down the premature aging process, they are limited to a certain extent when it comes to restoring volume loss, accelerating collagen production in deeper layers of the skin and improving skin elasticity and skin texture.

Now, let’s talk about the good news. While we don’t have the power to stop the natural process of aging, there are effective medical aesthetic treatment options that provide more visible and long-term rejuvenation results and help us age gracefully. These powerful treatments include PDO Thread Lift, PDO Smooth ThreadDermal Fillers and Antiwrinkle Injections.

So, what exactly are they? What do they do & how are they different from one another?

Let’s take a closer look!

What are COLLAGEN THREADS?

Collagen threads are also known as mono threads, or pdo threads, and their main purpose is to stimulate collagen to the skin.

PDO Mono Threads are a non-surgical alternative for skin lifting and tightening. They are designed to rejuvenate and tighten skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles while stimulating collagen production to improve skin tone and texture.

There are two types of PDO Threads: Mono Threads and Double Screw Threads. Mono threads are single threads placed just under the skin to evenly tighten the area. Double screw threads are used to add volume to areas such as the cheeks or deep folds in the face.

How does it work?

The procedure involves inserting dissolvable threads into the soft tissues. As the body starts to break down the PDO thread it creates collagen which tightens and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. This increase in collagen and elastin is noticeable in 4 weeks with full effect is seen after 3-4 months.

PDO threads last approximately 12 months.
